In 2022, the Town of White City adopted a Communications Strategy with a vision of professional communications that connects with a varied audience through multiple communications methods resulting in well-informed residents, stakeholders, staff and elected officials.
The purpose of the Communications Strategy is to identify strategic priorities and objectives for the Town of White City (the Town) Communications Department. The intent is to provide strategic direction that will be taken over the next four years and be reviewed on an annual basis to coordinate with the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan and Annual Budgets.
The Communications Strategy is a forward looking document that identifies objectives, strategies and proposed actions to enhance the Town’s two-way communications with the public by being fully transparent and have resident’s informed of the Town’s plans, actions, policies and services. The Town’s Communications Strategy provides a framework to enhance pro-active two-way communications, improve stakeholder relationships and encourage public engagement in the municipal process. The Communications Strategy is designed to influence both internal and external communications activities.
This strategy will form a basis and act as a living and evolving document for the entire organization. The strategy will assist the Town in building communications capacity and develop trustworthy relationships with stakeholders for effective public policy.
